(November 14, 2025) SCOTTS VALLEY, CA -- The Santa Margarita Groundwater Agency (SMGWA) is seeking applicants to fill one vacancy for a Well Owner Representative Alternate on the Board of Directors. The SMGWA is a public agency responsible for groundwater management in the Santa Margarita Groundwater Basin which includes rural areas and the communities of Scotts Valley, Felton, Ben Lomond, Boulder Creek, and vicinity.
To be eligible, applicants must own, manage, or receive groundwater from a domestic well or a small water system or use groundwater for commercial, industrial, institutional, recreational, or agricultural purposes. The well must be located within the Basin.
